Baneasa's Green Glades

Cyril O'Donoghue

Cyril is bouzouki player of the band Providence. I once saw them live in my hometown. Fine musicians.
Herè's what PRAK14, who posted this video to Youtube writes:
Cyril O Donoghue at Tom Steel's Ennis,Co. Clare Nov 2006

Cyril O Donoghue (vocals, bouzouki, and guitar) from Co Clare comes from a musical family with stong ties to the East Clare tradition via his father Paddy.

He has recorded with many musicians including Tola Custy, Alan Kelly, John Kelly, Michael Queally, The Mulcahy family, Fisherstreet, and Birkintree(Italy). Rivieredom has provided us with several fine videos on youtube. Here's a great tune called "eyes closed" which allows us to see his playing from various angles. He plays a mandocello made by Paul Hathway. Keep up your good work, Rivieredom.

What a lovely performance.

The Steeple Chase, Cait's Tune and Tomeen O'Days Irish Reels

The Darby Ram English Song - Mickie & Elizabeth Zekley

I like this performance from 1991. Mickie and Elizabeth on Cittern and Concertina. Great song!

Here's the sea song "Billy Taylor"

Green Grows The Laurels

Meymic 18 has posted some videos on DADGAD tuning at youtube. Here's a video with his Chris Eccleshawl Irish Bouzouki. he bought it from a friend and it was made sometime in the 80ies in London.
He learned the song from Aaron Jones. I attended two workshops with Aaron and learned that song, too. If you have the chance to see Aaron performing a workshop don't miss him. he's one of the best.

Lovely tune on a Freshwater Octave Mandolin

Here's Sherlock 1310 playing a lovely tune in GDAD tuning. The tune is "The rising of the moon", but not played as it is usually is (a march) but nicely rendered.
